  • Pottery

Pottery has always been my love at first sight.
    My first true love.
    My bread and butter.
I received my first kids wheel for my 10th birthday and immediately fell in love with getting my hands dirty. I loved how messy I could be. I loved how easily I could manipulate an object into 3-dimensional forms. Most of all I fell in love with the ability to create anything you could possibly need at the tips of your fingers.

I have won a few awards, have been featured in a few art shows, and sold many pieces along the way. I primarily work with high-fire stoneware, and mid-fire white clay.

  • Painting

    Painting is my love affair.
When I’m not making pottery, I dream of painting. Every brush stroke moving so delicately, yet effortlessly across a canvas. Painting is an escape from the rigidity and detail every other medium requests. It allows a freedom to be bold, to be soft, to simply paint over and try again without erasing. It can be complex, or simple, yet still stunning in either. The ease of flexibility in creation is something other mediums just simply don’t have.

Painting is a skill I continue to grow skill and experiment with.

  • Drawing

Drawing has proven to be the foundation to all of my work.
Drawing was an interest of mine from a very young age.
However, it wasn’t until about 8 years old I started studying the mechanics: HOW to draw. I still remember the cover of my first how-to drawing book.

Since then, I have been refining my skills, and have created and sold multiple custom pieces.

Check out my gallery for more two-dimensional pieces.
